Chronic pain is one of the most common and complex presentations encountered in Australian general practice. This interactive CPD activity is designed to support General Practitioners in the assessment, referral, and ongoing management of patients with acute and chronic pain.

Through case-based discussion and practical clinical insights, Dr Michael Zhao will provide an evidence-based update on contemporary pain management strategies relevant to primary care. Topics will include patient assessment, multidisciplinary management, referral pathways, and the role of radiofrequency ablation as a treatment option for selected chronic pain conditions. Participants will also engage in guided reflection to evaluate their current clinical approach and identify opportunities to enhance patient outcomes in general practice.
